CentPure (Higashikawa Library)
A must visit. A library. A furniture museum. An amazing exhibit of cameras and revolving photo exhibitions. A cafe. And with the attached language school, the most international place in Hokkaido.












Takushinkan
Takushinkan is a famous photo gallery by Shinzo Maeda, a well-respected landscape photographer whose photos put Biei on the map as one of the best sightseeing spots in Hokkaido back in the 1970s.






Yuto Hirasawa
Yuto is an award-winning Japanese photographer who offers guided photo tours in and around Biei, Hokkaido.


Hakuginso Onsen
The most famous, and rightly so, onsen in the area, located beneath Mt. Tokachi. Go early or go late to skip the crowds. They also have a co-ed section for couples with a bathing suit. The area is also a starting point for popular summer hikes and winter backcountry trails.
